BOATING SAFETY COURSE

This is a six-hour, six-chapter course designed to appeal to personal watercraft operators, hunters, anglers, house boaters, water-skiers and others who cannot find time for a full, comprehensive course.  Topics include an introduction to boating, personal safety equipment, safe boat handling, legal requirements, trailering, launching, the Navigation Rules, Homeland Security considerations and more.

Individuals who successfully complete the course and exam are awarded certificates of completion.  Some marine insurance companies offer discounts on boat insurance to those individuals who have successfully completed this course.  Class dates and times are subject to change.

Cost: $10.00 per student.

The course will also provide the mandatory Tennessee Boater Safety Education for those born after January 1, 1989 and we will administer the exam for this state certification. If you were born after January 1, 1989, this new law applies to you and you MUST pre-purchase a Type 600 Boating Safety Exam Permit at any TWRA agent for $10 to take the state exam.
